About The Position

Special Programs Coordinator About ThrivePoint Academy of Nevada ThrivePoint Academy Nevada (TPAN) is currently hiring a Special Programs Coordinator to support our growing student population in the greater Las Vegas area. As a public charter high school, TPAN is committed to delivering personalized, flexible learning pathways that prepare students for postsecondary success. This role will report directly to the Principal and will join a collaborative team of education professionals dedicated to academic excellence, student engagement, and community partnership. The qualified candidate will work directly with the School Principal and leadership team to strengthen math instruction, enhance student achievement outcomes, and expand TPAN’s impact within the local community. Overview We are seeking dynamic and tech-savvy educators to join our team at ThrivePoint Academy of Nevada. Our high school teachers play a pivotal role in engaging students through online courses, as well as providing in-person support on a weekly basis. Our teachers will work in a flexible school setting that emphasizes collaboration and support for all students, including those who require non-traditional learning approaches and credit recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide, plan, and coordinate structured mentorship and professional development for new and current teachers.
  • Promote consistency in instructional practices and support student engagement.
  • Ensure educators have access to resources and support for effective teaching.
  • Serve as a liaison and compliance oversight with SPED vendor to make sure students are receiving special education services and support.
  • Collaborate with LMEG Director of Achievement to execute and oversee program norms, vision, curriculum, and instruction.
  • Liaison to school social worker and school counselor to ensure academic supports are provided and school policies are executed for foster care, McKinney-Vento students.
  • Assist in implementing Title I programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with program goals and support for eligible students.
  • Support adherence to district, state, and federal educational requirements.
  • Provide guidance and resources to ensure compliance across programs and classrooms.
  • Facilitate the School Improvement Plan planning and implementation process.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive English Learner (EL) program that includes targeted language instruction, culturally responsive curriculum, ongoing assessment, and differentiated supports to meet the diverse needs of multilingual students.
  • Support students requiring additional language assistance to improve academic outcomes.
  • Assist with schoolwide initiatives and projects.
  • Contribute to creating a flexible, efficient, and well-coordinated learning environment.
  • Be the state-mandated role of Safety Specialist
