This position starts August 10, 2026. The Behavioral Specialist, acting under the supervision of the Director of Special Programs, provides continuous support to the district’s educational environment through the facilitation of effective programming and practices. This role assists and supports staff in providing Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to Students with Disabilities who have social emotional and behavioral needs addressed through an Individualized Education Plan. Duties include supporting and assisting staff in the identification of students, the development and implementation of Social Emotional Learning and Behavior Programming, as well as supporting staff through intervention and training. The specialist serves as a resource to both staff and families.
