About The Position

The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Special Processes Operator – Plasma for AWW (Alternate Work Week) shift operations (Friday - Sunday, 6AM to 6:30PM). Training may occur on 1st shift. 1st shift schedule is M-F, 6:30AM to 3PM. Shift earns 8% shift premium after training period. Overtime opportunity may be available after a period of training. Technical aptitude and desire to learn new skills is essential to this role. Ability to read and interpret work instructions. Training is provided on-site. This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience within the aerospace industry.
• Prior experience with specialized coating application.
• CNC equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine requirements.
• Prepare parts for plasma coating.
• Set up and operate grit blaster.
• Set up and operate plasma equipment.
• Plasma coat to specifications outlined in work instructions.
• Inspect parts to verify conformance with specifications.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Maintain clean work environment
