This position is for a Machine Operator 1 on the Weekend Day Shift (AWW1), working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The role involves operating a variety of production machines, including but not limited to washer, shot peen, furnace, water & air flow, electrode assembly, laser weld, tack weld, laser ablation, tape & wax, x-ray, bake, and detailer. Responsibilities include performing routine operations, producing blades and vanes, conducting quality checks, and adhering to standard work and work instructions. The job requires shift work and the ability to work overtime when needed. Daily tasks include performing standard work, complex operations, reading process sheets, deburring and cleaning parts, making minor offset changes, changing setups, documenting information on check sheets, maintaining dimensional data on run charts, utilizing measuring devices, assessing product acceptance based on blueprint specifications, running all equipment in the work loop, and producing product per standard work. Additionally, operators must clock labor in Solumina, perform and document daily Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM), and maintain a clean equipment and work area (5S). The role involves frequent movement around the machine line (approximately 90% of the time), including bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and transporting product/equipment up to 10 pounds. Tasks may extend beyond the listed duties to support department objectives and skill development.
