About The Position

Skilled Radiology Tech to work closely with the CVOR team, Surgeons and patients when performing vascular procedures. The responsibilities will include, but not limited to, maintaining and operating the specialized vascular C-arm equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images, applying and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices, maintain regulatory required documentation during/after the procedure, help to prepare and position the patient for surgery, ability to scrub to assist with catheters, wires, stents, etc., assist in the development of a new hybrid room, and become part of the CVOR team with other responsibilities as assigned. Call requirements are to be determined.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree.
• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• ARRT registration in interventional radiology required within 1 year in position.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and positioning the patient for surgery.

• Assisting in the development of a new hybrid room.
• Becoming part of the CVOR team with other responsibilities as assigned.
