At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Chino, CA! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Chino, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Chino, CA Schedule: 25 hours, 4 sessions a week for 1.5 hours Pay range is between $25 and $35

Requirements

• Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities and behavioral support needs
• Strong background in special education tutoring and behavior intervention strategies
• Skilled in supporting foundational ELA and math instruction at the elementary level
• Experience teaching reading comprehension, multiplication, division, and written expression
• Patient, calm, structured, and highly engaging
• Able to recognize emotional dysregulation and implement supportive redirection techniques
• Comfortable creating individualized lesson plans and summer academic activities
• Familiarity with positive reinforcement strategies and attention-support techniques
• Able to provide consistent routines, frequent breaks, and step-by-step instruction
• Strong relationship-building skills with neurodiverse learners

Responsibilities

• Create and implement individualized summer lesson plans in ELA and Math
• Support reading comprehension through guided reading, discussion, vocabulary reinforcement, and comprehension checks
• Teach foundational math concepts including multiplication, division, and problem-solving strategies
• Assist with written expression and handwriting support using structured and scaffolded activities
• Implement behavior-support strategies to help manage frustration, distractibility, and task refusal
• Provide a calm, supportive, and highly structured learning environment
• Incorporate the student’s interests such as Hot Wheels, racing shows, video games, and cars into lessons to increase engagement
• Use positive reinforcement, movement breaks, and consistent routines to maintain participation and focus
• Support emotional regulation and encourage confidence and independence during learning tasks
• Adapt instruction based on the student’s processing needs, attention span, and responsiveness
