About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented AM Dispatcher to support our special needs school bus operations. This role ensures safe, on-time transportation for students by coordinating drivers, monitoring routes, and communicating with schools and families during morning service.
Requirements
- Dispatch, transportation, or logistics experience preferred
- School bus or special needs transportation experience a plus
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to stay calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills (email, routing/GPS systems)
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong problem-solver
- Team-oriented with a focus on safety and customer service
Responsibilities
- Oversee morning routes to ensure on-time performance and full coverage
- Communicate with drivers, attendants, schools, and parents regarding delays or issues
- Assign spare drivers and adjust routes as needed in real time
- Support drivers with directions, student needs, and problem-solving
- Respond quickly to service disruptions and escalate when necessary
- Maintain accurate logs of delays, incidents, and route activity
