We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented AM Dispatcher to support our special needs school bus operations. This role ensures safe, on-time transportation for students by coordinating drivers, monitoring routes, and communicating with schools and families during morning service. Requirements

  • Dispatch, transportation, or logistics experience preferred
  • School bus or special needs transportation experience a plus
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to stay calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills (email, routing/GPS systems)
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Strong problem-solver
  • Team-oriented with a focus on safety and customer service

Responsibilities

  • Oversee morning routes to ensure on-time performance and full coverage
  • Communicate with drivers, attendants, schools, and parents regarding delays or issues
  • Assign spare drivers and adjust routes as needed in real time
  • Support drivers with directions, student needs, and problem-solving
  • Respond quickly to service disruptions and escalate when necessary
  • Maintain accurate logs of delays, incidents, and route activity
