BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking Special Needs Caregivers / DSPs to join the team in Mooresville, NC. BAYADA’s Special Needs Caregivers / DSPs work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. We’re urgently hiring Special Needs Caregivers / DSPs for the following area: Mooresville, Statesville, Catawba, and the surrounding area Shifts available : Afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts available! shifts subject to change based on client needs
Requirements
- One year experience working with intellectual and development disabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments
- Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
- Participate in community integration activities
- Help lift and reposition clients.
