About The Position

Matthew's Ministry is Resurrection's awareness, outreach, and support ministry for individuals with special needs and their families. As a member of our team, staff provide direct support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities during weekday or weekend programming. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

• Ability to physically engage and interact with children, youth, and adults with special needs.
• Ability to kneel, lift, sit on the floor, stand for an extended period, walk across location buildings, and perform other related tasks.
• Ability to assist a participant in the restroom by changing diapers/pull-ups and if necessary performing lifts for transport.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with individuals with special needs (whether formally or in a volunteer capacity).
• Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities or education in a related field (e.g., special education, behavior analysis, OT, PT, SPL, nursing).

Responsibilities
