As a Special Investigator 2 with the Insurance Department, you will help keep Pennsylvania’s insurance marketplace honest and reliable. This role allows you to dig into complex cases, analyze evidence, and support actions that protect policyholders. Requirements
- Four years of professional experience in criminal, civil, or administrative investigation work, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Be able to perform essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Examine insurance company and producer records to identify possible violations
- Collect and analyze statements, documents, and other materials to determine compliance with insurance laws
- Write detailed reports that outline investigative steps, findings, and recommended actions
- Prepare evidence and provide testimony at departmental hearings or criminal proceedings
- Manage multiple investigations at once and organize required tasks to complete each case
- Maintain a consistent level of professionalism when interacting with industry representatives and the public
