Titan Security is seeking a Special Exhibition Security Officer for the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry in Downtown Chicago. This is a high-visibility, physically demanding, customer-facing role in a fast-paced public environment. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to work all shifts.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Able to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), including state accredited training requirements
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Willingness to work all posts and flexible schedules
- Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs., completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
Nice To Haves
- 5-8 years of security, customer service, or public-facing experience preferred
- Experience in museums, hospitals, retail centers, or high-traffic public venues
- Bi-lingual considered a plus.
- Evening, overnight, and weekend availability required
Responsibilities
- Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required
- Enforce museum rules and policies in a professional, customer-service-oriented manner
- Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
- Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
- Provide a visible security presence throughout the museum
- Rotate between assigned posts as needed
