About The Position

United Security, Inc. is hiring seasonal event security officers in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Officers provide customer service and support to event guests while helping maintain a safe, orderly environment. Work is based on scheduled events, with shifts offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Weekend availability is required, and officers must be willing to work nights and weekends. Shifts are generally four hours, with occasional longer shifts. This is an as-needed position. Applicants must apply online for consideration.

Requirements

• At least one year of security experience.
• Active Connecticut security license (CT Guard Card).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work in high-pedestrian-traffic environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to professionalism and integrity.
• Weekend availability and willingness to work nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Event security experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and direct guests to appropriate areas.
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling the property and access points.
• Investigate and report security breaches, incidents, and suspicious activity to the shift supervisor.
• Enforce rules and regulations to help ensure a safe environment.
• Manage crowds and support orderly ingress and egress.
• Provide assistance and support to guests as needed.
• Collaborate with security team members and event staff.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.
• Comply with legal requirements to help maintain the organization's stability and reputation.
• Control traffic and maintain a safe, organized flow of vehicles throughout the property.
