Special Events Manager
About The Position
The Special Events Manager leads and continuously reimagines the Special Events Program, creating thoughtfully curated, engaging events for players, employees, and corporate audiences. The role works with cross-functional teams to align events with company goals, enhance player value, elevate the player experience, and drive program success. It oversees event planning and execution from concept through on-site delivery, as well as budgets, stakeholder coordination, event evaluation, and branded event materials. The role requires travel to domestic and international player events and a valid passport.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of proven experience in event management.
- Strong leadership skills and a track record of managing all aspects of events, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Expertise in budget management and strategic planning.
- Passion for creating memorable experiences and driving community engagement.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally to player events and a valid passport.
Responsibilities
- Continuously reimagine and lead the Special Events Program, designing innovative, engaging, and memorable player, employee, and corporate events.
- Develop quarterly OKRs and collaborate with other departments to align efforts and make progress toward annual objectives.
- Create, manage, and maintain event budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and alignment with company goals.
- Partner with the VIP Host team to elevate and execute player-focused events.
- Serve as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including VIP Hosts, reward partners, marketing, social media, and product teams.
- Oversee event design and themes, timelines, production, logistics, vendor management, approvals, and on-site execution.
- Monitor and evaluate event performance using NPS surveys to support continuous improvement and player value growth.
- Develop and oversee myVIP Experience and Player Meet-up SWAG in alignment with brand standards.
- Collaborate with playAWARDS Marketing to lead the creation and approval of event collateral, including emails, signage, and credentials.
- Provide hands-on assistance with event setup and execution as needed.
- Travel to domestic and international player events; maintain a valid passport.
