About The Position

Yellowstone Club's Member Services department is currently seeking candidates for a Special Events Manager. The purpose of the Special Events Manager is to oversee and organize special events for Yellowstone Club that are creative, impactful, successful, and cost-effective, while paying attention to budget and time constraints.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in Special Events, Catering Sales, or Catering Management at a similar property or Club
  • Strong understanding of marketing and promotion techniques.
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and passionate about events and event planning; constantly coming up with fresh ideas, strong organization skills and a “leaves nothing to chance” attitude with regard to event planning.
  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business or similar field

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that each Member and guest receives outstanding guest service in a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
  • Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our Members and guests and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
  • Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees, Members, and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the General Manager or Human Resources immediately.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a positive working environment.
  • Delivering events on time, within budget, that meet (and exceed) expectations.
  • Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project.
  • Communicating, maintaining and developing client relationships.
  • Manage vendor relationships.
  • Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, direction, and support to the Events team.
  • Conduct onsite inspections and advance preparations for project events.
  • Responsible for all project budgets from start to finish.
  • Development, production and delivery of projects from proposal right up to delivery.
  • Manage execution of events from inception through wrap up.
