About The Position

SP+ is seeking a Special Events Flagger to join their team, working in the exciting world of sports and entertainment events. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a supportive team. The Special Events Flagger will direct incoming customers to available parking spaces, control traffic at entrances and exits, answer customer questions, inform them of parking rates, and provide directions. The position requires maintaining a neat and clean appearance in complete uniform at all times and reporting any policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to supervisors.

Requirements

• Less than High School education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Availability to work special shift requirements, including potentially the 3rd shift and weekends.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
• Ability to perform calculations using units of American money.
• Employees will be required to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment.
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
• Must occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Required to work outside in varying weather conditions (cold, rainy, snowy, harsh, hot, and humid).

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Answer questions promptly and courteously.
• Inform customers of the parking rate.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance, arrive, and remain in complete uniform before and during scheduled shifts.
• Give directions to customers to various locations in the area.
• Report any unknown, observed, or suspected violation of company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence to the supervisors.
