About The Position

The Special Events Coordinator - Freelance represents News 12 at local key community events of all different sizes throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. This role serves as an organized, detail-oriented liaison for our news organization and the communities we serve. Represents News 12 with the utmost professionalism and provides a positive experience to our viewers.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Outgoing/friendly personality
  • Clean/neat appearance
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing within the state of current residence
  • Ability to take photos /videos with phone
  • Social media skills a plus
  • Availability on weekends and nights
  • Knowledge of News 12 talent and programming a plus
  • Willing to travel within the tri-state area
  • Ability to communicate effectively with superior relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up booths at various events.

  • Takes photos at events for use on social media.
