About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating operational logistics for athletic and special events hosted at University of North Florida facilities. The role involves assisting with the management, execution, and evaluation of event-related contracts and services, and supporting the daily operations, readiness, and maintenance coordination of all athletic facilities. The Special Events Assistant will collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality event experiences, and will assist Facilities & Operations leadership with event staffing, scheduling, and operational planning.

  • This position requires a background check.
  • In conjunction with the University's policy, this position may also require a credit check.
  • The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee" pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.
  • The holder of this position is responsible for any NCAA and Atlantic Sun Conference bylaws and guidelines that a member of the UNF Athletic Compliance Department provides in addition to all UNF regulations.
  • The individual must also assure that NCAA, Conference and UNF regulations are followed to the best of their knowledge and any violations thereof are reported to UNF Athletic Compliance.
  • UNF cannot consider candidates who require H‑1B visa sponsorship, regardless of current visa status.
