Special Events Assistant 2-Part-time
About The Position
This is a part-time position at The Ohio State University. The Special Events Assistant will be responsible for delivering and picking up traffic control equipment before, during, and after special events on the Columbus campus. This includes equipment such as traffic cones, barricades, signage, light towers, and electronic message boards. The role also involves assisting with the function of traffic control equipment, including starting and shutting down light towers, refueling them, and troubleshooting equipment issues. Communication with the event supervisor via radio is crucial for relaying equipment requests and reporting deliveries. Additional miscellaneous duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up traffic control equipment before, during, and after special events on the Columbus campus.
- Assist with the function of the traffic control equipment, such as starting and shutting of the light towers as needed, refueling light towers as needed, or trouble shooting equipment issues.
- Communicate with event supervisor via radio during entirety of the event; answer calls requesting additional equipment requests.
- Report additional equipment deliveries to TTM supervisor.
- Perform additional miscellaneous duties as assigned.
