About The Position

This position is set to begin on August 17th. It is an on-call position with varying hours (0-10 per month) and requires daytime and evening availability. The Special Event Child Care Provider will perform duties to safely attend to children, including observing and monitoring play activities, providing activities, interacting with children in a safe and caring environment, preparing and serving meals and snacks, accompanying children on walks to the playground, and keeping the child care area and materials clean and organized. CPCD provides early childhood education and support services to over 1,100 children living in poverty or facing special circumstances, aiming to prepare them for success in school and life. A successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination, TB screen, background screen, and drug test (including marijuana) is required.

Requirements

Previous child care experience.
Possess a genuine concern for and ability to relate to young children in a positive manner.
Daytime and evening availability.
Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test (including marijuana), and background check in accordance with the Office of Head Start Performance Standards and Child care Licensing. (Physical examination and TB test thereafter as required).
Must have access to reliable transportation and if using a personal vehicle must maintain minimum liability insurance as determined by the State of Colorado.
