About The Position

Join a team that’s making a lasting impact for women in recovery. We’re looking for a compassionate and dependable Child Care Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for infants living in a residential program supporting women on their recovery journey from Substance Use Disorder. In this role, you’ll provide attentive care, encourage positive child development, and serve as a supportive role model for mothers as they build parenting skills and confidence. We hire people that are skilled and passionate to meet our mission to end homelessness through outcome-based strategies which support personal and community transformation. Recovery is more complex during pregnancy and while raising young children, we offer a safe, inclusive environment for women to live with their children while in treatment for substance use disorders. Our residents often are able to stay with their children, who might otherwise be placed in foster care. The Child Care Provider is responsible for creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for infants within a residential recovery program for women experiencing Substance Use Disorder. This role includes providing attentive child care, ensuring the safety and well-being of infants, supporting age-appropriate routines and behavior guidance, and maintaining a clean and organized child care space. The Child Care Provider also serves as a positive role model for clients by demonstrating healthy parenting practices and offering hands-on guidance when needed. Additional responsibilities include monitoring children’s individual needs such as allergies, feeding schedules, and special care instructions, supporting nursing mothers during breastfeeding, and participating in staff meetings and trainings.
