About The Position

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) Special Educator position for the FY 26/27 school year. The role involves teaching students specific skills and strategies to access the curriculum, conducting IEP meetings and completing related paperwork, monitoring student progress and revising IEPs accordingly, co-teaching in regular education content areas or teaching substantially separate subjects, preparing students for post-high school transitions, communicating with school personnel, parents, and other stakeholders, conducting Transition Assessments, and supervising vocational job sites. The position requires attendance at departmental and school-wide meetings and necessitates licensure as defined by the DESE and SEI Endorsement. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing all aspects of the IEP process, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to helping diverse students reach their full potential. Additionally, the ability to support the development of culturally responsive programs that promote student engagement, family engagement, community involvement, and a positive school climate is essential. The role also requires experience and commitment to working in a racially and culturally diverse teaching and learning community.

Requirements

Responsibilities
