About The Position

Teach students specific skills and strategies to help them access curriculum, conduct IEP meetings and complete all related paperwork in a timely fashion, monitor student progress and revise IEP according to progress, co-teach in regular education content area or teach substantially separate subject, prepare students for transition to post-high school life, communicate with school personnel outside of the department, and communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Attendance at departmental and school-wide meetings
  • Requisite licensure as defined by the DESE and SEI Endorsement
  • Experience implementing all parts of the IEP process
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A strong commitment to helping a wide variety of culturally diverse students achieve their full potential
  • Ability to support the development of culturally responsive programs and activities that promote student engagement, family engagement, community involvement and a positive school climate
  • Experience and commitment to working in a racially and culturally diverse teaching and learning community.
