About The Position

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a qualified Teaching Assistant commencing at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The teaching assistant role is a district-wide position. The teaching assistant’s role is to support students in the general education classroom and within the ACE Alternative Program. ACE supports students with additional executive functioning, and social-emotional needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Capacity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working with high school students in a teaching, tutoring or other supportive role
  • Experience working in specialized programs that support students with mild to moderate social-emotional and executive functioning needs
  • Familiarity with high school curriculum in a variety of content areas

Responsibilities

  • Supports the ACE teaching staff in the ACE program classes
  • Works with ACE classroom teacher(s) to assist students in organizing and completing their assignments, quizzes, and tests
  • Provides support in identified content area(s), clarifies and reteaches material, in collaboration with the classroom teacher
  • Collaborates with the special educator(s) and other members of the ACE Team
  • Supports students in their classes outside of the ACE program, as assigned by the program administrator
  • Other duties as assigned
