About The Position
Lower Merion School District is seeking to hire a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher at Lower Merion High School. This is a long-term substitute position lasting from November 2026 to March 2027. Salary and benefits set by LMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Requirements
- PA Certification in Special Education required
- Out-of-state educators should explore PA's reciprocity guidelines set by the PA Department of Education
- Good standing relative to Act 48 credits
- Child abuse, PA State Police and FBI clearances (no less than one year from date of hire)
Nice To Haves
- Additional PA Certification preferred
- Autism endorsement preferred
- Experience supporting the learning needs of students with Autism preferred
Responsibilities
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students
- Experience working with students with various types of educational disabilities
