About The Position

Our client is seeking Special Education Teachers throughout Maricopa County, AZ. This role involves establishing and maintaining a developmentally appropriate classroom, promoting emotional and social growth for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The teacher will plan and implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, abilities, and interests of all students assigned to the class, creating a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the student. The role guides the learning process toward curriculum goals, establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicates these objectives to students. The teacher will strive to implement the District's philosophy of education and instructional materials, assist in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials, and perform tasks as directed by the Principal.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
• Current Arizona Special Education Instructional Certificate.
• Determination to drive student achievement and set high expectations for all students.
