About The Position

The Arc Erie County NY is seeking a Special Education Teacher for its School Age Program in Cheektowaga, New York. The role involves creating and implementing individualized educational programming (IEPs), adapting lessons and classroom activities for diverse learning needs, and helping students develop academic, social, and behavioral skills. The teacher collaborates with therapists, assistants, leadership, and families; supervises Teacher Assistants and classroom support staff; and fosters a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment to support students in reaching meaningful developmental milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education.
• New York State Certification in Special Education; Initial/Provisional or Professional/Permanent certification is accepted.
