Special Education Teacher (K-4-3rd)

We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will support students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) by delivering specialized instruction, fostering a supportive learning environment, and collaborating with families and staff to promote student success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field (required)
- Valid Wisconsin DPI License or ability to obtain within two (2) weeks of hire
- At least one (1) year of experience working with students (k-4-3rd) preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Strong cultural competency and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, reliable transportation, and appropriate insurance
- Ability to pass background checks and required pre-employment screenings
Nice To Haves
- Valid Special Education license preferred; candidates willing to obtain licensure with organizational support will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Identify student needs by conducting assessments and evaluations to determine eligibility for services
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs
- Provide direct instruction and services aligned with IEP goals
- Monitor and assess student progress toward IEP objectives
- Facilitate IEP meetings with families and stakeholders
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and team members
- Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities in accordance with laws and policies
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
