About The Position

A South Carolina school district is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students for the current academic year. In this position, you will provide individualized instruction and targeted support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring access to the general education curriculum. You will take the lead in developing, implementing, and overseeing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), using data and ongoing progress monitoring to guide instruction and promote student achievement. You will play a key role in fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment by working closely with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families. Through differentiated instruction and evidence-based strategies, you will support students in building confidence, independence, and academic success.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold a valid South Carolina teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement (multi-categorical or equivalent).
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education is required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in resource, inclusion, or self-contained classroom settings is strongly preferred.
