About The Position
HealthPRO Pediatrics is looking for a Special Education Teacher to join their team in Augusta, GA. This full-time, W-2 position offers a school schedule with weekends, holidays, and summers off. The role involves supporting students' academic and functional success within a collaborative therapy team. Requirements
- Active Georgia Special Education teaching certification (GaPSC License)
- Paraprofessional certification not accepted; must be a Teacher with Special Education endorcement
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for helping students reach their full potential
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred
Responsibilities
- Consult and collaborate with School staff and families in regards to students’ educational deficits
- Conduct initial screenings as well as comprehensive evaluations
- Participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for Special Education services
- Provide Special Education sessions through the use of current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP
- Maintain all documentation required by the district including, but not limited to, notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEP’s
