About The Position
Capstone Academy, part of the National Heritage Academies (NHA) network, is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year in Commerce City, Colorado. Capstone Academy utilizes a character-based approach to education, inspiring students to excel academically and think creatively. Our dedicated teachers foster critical-thinking skills to solve real-world problems, preparing students for 21st-century challenges and success in college, life, and beyond. NHA provides specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of each child with a disability, offering services such as resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services. Teachers will participate in professional development specific to special education curriculum and data tracking tools.
Requirements
- Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements.
- NHA will support you through your alternative certification journey.
Responsibilities
- Provide specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from his/her disability such as: a resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services.
- Participate in professional development that is specific to special education curriculum, along with data tracking tools.
