The Special Education Teacher will facilitate the learning activities of exceptional children, including students with Specific Learning Challenges, Speech/Language Impairments, Intellectually Delayed, Emotional Disturbance, Other Health Impairments, Autism, Hearing Impairments, Orthopedic Impairments, Visual Impairments, and Traumatic Brain Injury. The role involves working towards grade-level, subject, school, and system objectives using a variety of instructional strategies and methods, functioning effectively as a staff member of the school community. A significant part of the role includes case management responsibilities for students, ensuring the full implementation of IEPs, progress monitoring, and collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and other stakeholders.
