About The Position
SchoolHouse Staffing connects dedicated special education professionals with school communities where they can do their best work. They specialize in placing special education teachers, BCBAs, SLPs, and related-service professionals with school districts nationwide. This position is for an experienced Special Education Resource Teacher to support students in grades 2–4 at an elementary school in the San Tan Valley area for the 2026–2027 school year. It is a full-time, in-person resource role with a manageable, evenly distributed caseload of 25 students or fewer.
Requirements
- Valid Arizona Special Education teaching certification
- Demonstrated experience teaching grades 2–4 as a Special Education Teacher
- Current Arizona DPS Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Strong collaboration, organization, and case-management skills
Nice To Haves
- Cross-Categorical Special Education K–8 certification
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and resource support to students in grades 2–4 with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress
- Track and document student goals, progress, and outcomes
- Maintain a caseload of 25 students or fewer, kept evenly balanced
