About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in the Republic, MO area. This is an in-person, full-time role where you will create an inclusive classroom setting for all learners, develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans, and collaborate with school teams, teachers, and families. The company is a woman and therapist-run organization focused on supporting and mentoring clinicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education or Related Field
- Active Missouri Special Education Teacher license

- Previous experience working in the classroom setting is preferred
Responsibilities
- Create an inclusive classroom setting for all learners
- Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
- Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills
- Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
