About The Position

Easterseals NH is looking for a Special Education Teacher to join The Gammon Academy, a program dedicated to making a difference in the lives of youth aged 8-21. The academy helps individuals learn social skills, succeed in school, and enjoy recreational experiences. Student populations include those with Autism and other neurobehavioral challenges, as well as students with mild cognitive impairments and social/emotional disabilities. The role involves providing rich learning experiences and community volunteer opportunities for students.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree with Certification in Special Education OR have passed the praxis with a letter of eligibility for Special Education.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Implement classroom programming to meet the educational, social and vocational needs of students with disabilities.
Design a classroom environment that is motivating and stimulating.
Lesson planning and implementation
Supervise Paraprofessionals
Gather and report data on student progress.
