Special Education Teacher
About The Position
New Hope Christian School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Special Education Teacher to join their growing Christian school community. This permanent, full-time teaching opportunity is for Term 1, 2027. The school provides Christian Education for students with mild to moderate intellectual delays or Autism, from Kindergarten to Year 12. The school aims to develop each student's full potential through individualized and small group instruction and support, with a vision to honor Christ in all programs and practices. All staff members are committed Christians. The role requires demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and review individualized education programs. Experience with students with disabilities is desirable but not essential. Teachers interested in developing their general teaching and learning skills within a Special Education context are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and review effective individualized education programs.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Sound technology skills.
- Be committed to your own professional learning and growth.
- Commitment to a local church and the ethos of Christian education is essential.
- Provide NSW Working with Children Check Number for verification.
- Provide NESA Accreditation Number for verification.
