Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (required)
- Valid Maryland teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility to obtain
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Adapt and modify general education curriculum to support diverse learners
- Provide direct instruction and academic interventions in both resource and inclusive classroom settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Track and report student progress using data-driven tools and documentation
- Support students with behavior plans and use positive behavior supports
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff training, and professional development
