About The Position
This position is eligible for a bonus up to $5,000. Holly Park Academy, located in Lansing, MI, opened in 2009 and serves students K-8. At Holly Park, you can connect passion with purpose. Academically outperformed our local district nine years in a row and ranked in the top 5 schools in Lansing. We offer a supportive, professional, and collaborative team with strong educator support from school leadership and a behavioral support specialist. We care deeply for the whole child and offer wrap-around services to ensure that their struggles outside of the classroom don't stop learning from happening. We provide a fully mapped-out curriculum with all the supporting materials (lesson plans, slide decks, scripts, manipulatives, etc.) and are easy to follow. Professional development is provided through regular time with your leader, professional learning communities, time with colleagues, and training from our world-class curriculum team. We are an award recipient for School Safety and Employee Engagement.
Requirements
- Hold a valid teacher license or meet alternative requirements. NHA will support you through your alternative certification journey.
Responsibilities
- Provide students with specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from his/her disability such as: a resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services.
- Participate in professional development that is specific to special education curriculum, along with data tracking tools.
