Special Education Teacher – Small Caseload
About The Position
Cross Country Education is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support a small caseload of K–5 students in Frisco, TX and help them reach their full potential during the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support for students in a Functional Academics classroom, supporting a caseload of approximately 9 students with paraeducator support. The teacher will develop and implement individualized instructional strategies to promote academic, behavioral, and functional growth, collaborate with educators, families, and support teams, and maintain documentation and support IEP processes while fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Texas Teaching Certification with Special Education endorsement
- Valid Texas ESL Supplemental Certification
- Valid Texas Fingerprint Clearance Card (FAST)
- Handle with Care, CPI, or similar crisis prevention/de-escalation training (or willingness to complete training)
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and support for students in a Functional Academics classroom.
