About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a High School Special Education Teacher for a long-term substitute position in the Mahtomedi, MN area. This role focuses on learning disabilities, specifically reading and executive functioning instruction. The position is in-person and will last from the beginning of the school year until Thanksgiving. The company is a woman- and therapist-run organization that values support and mentorship for its employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education or Related Field
• Active Minnesota Special Education Teacher license through PELSB (Tier 3 or 4)

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in the classroom setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Create an inclusive classroom setting for all learners
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
