About The Position

Empowerment Academy Charter School is hiring Special Education teachers to join our growing High School this year. The role will follow a push-in/pull-out model. We are seeking Special Education Teachers for High School Mathematics, High School ELA/English, and High School Science. Special Education Certified teachers are eligible for a $3,000 bonus, and Certified Math teachers are eligible for a $7,500 bonus. The base salary for the 2026/2027 school year is $70,000 - $100,000, with additional bonus, stipend, and raise opportunities. Requirements

Hold a New Jersey Department of Education CE, Limited CE, CEAS or Standard Certificate in Special Education.
TOH or TOSD Certification required.
Co-certification in the subject being taught is preferred, but K-6 certificates paired with TOSD may be considered.

Responsibilities

Teach Special Education Mathematics, ELA/English, or Science at the High School level.
Implement a push-in/pull-out model for instruction.
Collaborate with peers in professional learning communities (PLCs) to plan lessons and solve problems.
Partner with an array of specialists to meet diverse student needs.
Utilize a research-based curriculum and supporting curricular materials.
Employ high-quality formative assessments to identify student mastery.
Support students struggling with academic skills, with assistance from reading and math specialists.
Assist counselors and social workers in supporting students with non-academic problems.
