This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. The Teacher will plan lessons, choose instructional materials based on curriculum and student needs, and use a variety of instructional techniques to meet diverse student needs. The role involves implementing instructional programs according to district and state guidelines, managing time effectively for student instruction, and creating a positive learning atmosphere. Collaboration with colleagues, evaluation of student progress, and communication with parents are key aspects of this role. The teacher will also work with school staff to identify and meet individual student needs, participate in professional development, and ensure student safety during drills and emergencies. Maintaining classroom inventory, supervising students, administering assessments, and playing an active role in curriculum development are also responsibilities. The position requires maintaining accurate records, serving on school committees, and accepting responsibility for co-curricular activities. Establishing cooperative relationships, adhering to ethical codes and board policies, and participating in peer reviews are expected. Technology integration to support the curriculum is also a component of this role.
