About The Position

Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a full-time, high school-based position in Grafton, New Hampshire for the 2026–2027 school year. This unique opportunity offers an exceptionally manageable caseload serving just 4 high school students - allowing educators to provide highly individualized instruction and meaningful student support in a collaborative school environment. At Boothby, special educators receive the support they need to succeed with a dedicated Service Delivery Manager, a collaborative team environment, and access to special education resources. With a caseload of only four students, this role provides the opportunity to focus on individualized student growth while maintaining strong work-life balance and professional support. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education (minimum)
  • Valid New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with high school students or secondary special education preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction to high school students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver specialized instruction aligned with academic, functional, and transition goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Monitor and document student progress using data-driven practices
  • Support students with executive functioning, social-emotional, and academic skill development
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student independence and success
