Special Education Teacher
About The Position
As a Teacher II at KVC Academy, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing high-quality education and support to students in a nurturing environment that emphasizes both learning and healing. This role works closely with students with Autism, including those who are non-verbal and have high support needs. Our small class sizes allow for individualized instruction and support, including assistance with daily living skills such as toileting, while fostering communication, independence, and emotional growth. Each student receives the personalized care and structure they need to thrive both academically and developmentally.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years old to apply
- Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required
- Valid driver's license
- Valid auto insurance
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality education and support to students.
- Work closely with students with Autism, including those who are non-verbal and have high support needs.
- Provide individualized instruction and support.
- Assist with daily living skills such as toileting.
- Foster communication, independence, and emotional growth in students.
