About The Position

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is recruiting a compassionate and resourceful Special Education Teacher for an Illinois school district. The role is in a self-contained classroom supporting approximately 10 students, primarily diagnosed with autism, whose academic, developmental, and daily living needs may vary significantly. The teacher delivers individualized instruction and collaborates with paraprofessionals, families, and related-service providers to support student growth throughout the school day.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Special Education endorsement.
Skill in developing individualized instructional strategies and maintaining a structured, positive classroom environment.

Experience working with students with autism, significant support needs, or in a self-contained classroom.

Responsibilities

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered educational planning.
Promote student engagement, self-confidence, and independence through purposeful learning activities.
Implement positive behavior strategies and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment.
Track student performance, evaluate progress toward IEP goals, and complete required documentation.
Deliver individualized instruction addressing academic, communication, behavioral, and functional life skills.
Develop and adapt lesson materials, classroom activities, and routines to support varying learning abilities.
Work closely with paraprofessionals, families, and related-service providers to maintain consistent support throughout the school day.
