About The Position
Assistant Teacher supporting special education in a self-contained setting for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year. The school year consists of 187 days. The role involves instructional assistance in reading/language arts and mathematics.
Requirements
- Possess an associate's degree or above, or have at least 48 hours of earned college credit, or provide passing WorkKeys test scores (Silver Certificate) for Assistant Teachers.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing skills.
- Demonstrate interest in and a positive attitude toward the duties and responsibilities of an instructional assistant for teaching reading/language arts and mathematics.
- Pass a criminal background check as prescribed by state statute.
