About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Elementary Special Education Teacher to cover two separate LOA positions in the Orono, MN area. We’re seeking passionate and collaborative professionals who are excited to make a meaningful impact in the school-based setting. This is an in-person, full-time position covering two separate long-term substitute roles (Sept-Dec & Jan-end of school year).

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education or Related Field
• Active Minnesota Special Education Teacher license through PELSB (Tier 3 or 4)
• Tier 3 or 4 license required

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in the classroom setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Create an inclusive classroom setting for all learners
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
