About The Position
Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, provides education services for K–12 students who need additional support to succeed in traditional school settings. SESI partners with school districts to operate in-district classrooms and standalone schools addressing students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. The organization serves more than 7,000 students and partners with over 600 school districts nationwide. The Special Education Teacher diagnoses and addresses students’ learning, social, and emotional skill gaps; collaborates with school teams and families; and delivers personalized guidance using evidence-based instructional models and positive behavioral interventions. The role offers innovative instructional environments, smaller class sizes, and student support services. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
- Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.
- Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.

Responsibilities
- Work with students from varied developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Use SESI instructional models, strategies, and curricula to teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet students’ needs.
- Develop and maintain individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plans.
- Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain student and staff safety.
- Maintain student documentation, including IEPs, BIPs, incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
- Drive, record, and track student progress toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
- Supervise and monitor students, including while they travel to and from locations within the school.
