About The Position

Boothby Therapy Services is actively hiring Special Education Teachers throughout Vermont for the 2026–2027 school year. They partner with school districts across the state and have opportunities available in various settings including Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Special Education, Middle School Special Education, High School Special Education, Resource Room Programs, Self-Contained Classrooms, Life Skills Programs, Behavioral Support Programs, Autism Support Programs, and Inclusive Education Settings. Boothby takes a personalized approach, matching candidates with positions based on their experience, preferred age group, instructional strengths, and geographic preferences, rather than placing them into a single opening. They offer more support than traditional school roles, including a dedicated Service Delivery Manager, collaborative teams, access to resources, and a structure designed for manageable workloads and educator well-being. Boothby aims to provide a different experience for educators who may have faced burnout, lack of support, or limited resources in previous roles.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field (required)
Valid Vermont Special Education teaching certification or eligibility
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
We welcome both experienced educators and those new to the field who are passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student goals and educational needs
Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
Monitor and document student progress using data-driven practices
Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional development
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations
Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities
Foster inclusive, supportive learning environments that promote student success
