About The Position
Full-time Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 LBS1 for SELF Program. The teacher will be responsible for developing lesson plans, individualizing curriculum for students at various grade levels, completing IEP paperwork, and ensuring IEP implementation. The role also involves being part of the crisis management team, requiring training in de-escalation and behavior management, and providing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to classrooms. Other relevant duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Must have Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1)
- Could also be a School Psychologist
- Could also be a School Social Worker
Responsibilities
- Develop lesson plans
- Individualize curriculum for students at various grade levels
- Complete IEP paperwork
- Ensure IEPs are implemented accordingly
- Be a part of the crisis management team
- Be willing and able to be fully trained in de-escalation and behavior management
- Support classrooms academically, behaviorally, and social emotionally
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned
